Living in Victoria Park, Fort Lauderdale

Living in Victoria Park Fort Lauderdale, you will be close to everything. The famous Las Olas Boulevard is only a five-minute drive. If you don’t know what Las Olas Boulevard is, it’s kind of a tourist destination but also very popular with the locals. My wife and I go there all the time. You can find a ton of shops, restaurants, and bars in Las Olas Boulevard.

You will also be only about five minutes away from the beach. A lot of locals that live in Victoria Park love the walk since it’s only about a two-mile trek down to the beach. Many of them exercise, run, jog, or bike along the beach.

There are a ton of shops, restaurants, and bars down there as well so overall Victoria Park is a very active community.  A lot of people are out riding bikes, running, walking, or just enjoying one of the parks.

Parks

Holiday Park which is the biggest and probably most well known here in Victoria Park is almost 94 acres of paths, sports fields, and picnic areas. They even have a gym and a dog park too.

Food and Drink

In Victoria Park, there is absolutely no shortage of great places to eat or grab a drink. One of my personal favorites is Shuck N Dive. My wife and I love to come here with family and friends. It’s a really casual laid-back atmosphere. The staff is always great and their prices are reasonable. I’m telling you the food is off the charts. This place has some of the best Cajun cooking I’ve ever had. Not to forget their crawfish and oysters, shipped in fresh directly from Louisiana.

Work and Schools

Living here in Victoria Park you will be super close to downtown Fort Lauderdale which is where a lot of people work. It’s a great place for young professionals.

Victoria Park also has some of the best-rated schools around. It’s also a great place to raise a family. The lifestyle here in Victoria Park is a great mix of everything. You’re extremely close to the shopping and the nightlife but you’re also really close to the beach and a ton of parks.

Housing

Victoria Park was constructed in the 1930s so you see around a lot of older homes mixed in with a bunch of new construction townhomes and condos scattered in here and there.

Home pricing

In Victoria Park, you can find condos starting in the low $200,000 range. The single-family homes start in the $400,000 range going all the way up into the multi-millions.

If you’re looking to rent in Victoria Park, you can find a studio starting around $850 a month. But if you want to be in that trendier area, closer to all those shops, restaurants, nightlife, and all that good stuff, you will be starting at probably around $1,500 plus.

  11. The first time Iread about the success of these crusades my soul was filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory! ! I had been praying and prophesying of this! I am recovering from a stroke or I would also come and work as an alter worker. To do so sounds gloryous! ! I can not praise God enough for what He is doing!! When I was working I used to send financial support for the crusades in Africa and wish I could now for theUS. May God continue to pour out His blessings on this amazing evangelistic effort. It is the only hope for our nation. May it result in another Great Awakening! ! I will continue my prayers even more than before. Noelyn Scotti Wallis
